Bird at close range.Real Life.
It was her first.
You could see her thoughts go
I could just go and catch one of these with my giant paws
It was so close! They fly that low??

Hello! I'm a photographer myself with a few months experience (I'm not a professional) but I''l try giving the most accurate, reasonable critique I can!

This overall has very good exposure and the viewer will be paying attention to your subject, no doubt! I love animal photos and you have very good contrast between background and foreground!

I noticed you may have used a sharpening tool of some kind to bring out the details in the fur (I'm not sure what editing software you use or if you used any editing software for your photo), which is great! However, I have a suggestion that could help you.

With the sharpening I mentioned, I'm not sure if this was intentional for an artistic reason or not, but the subject looks a bit more "crisp and clear than reality". I honestly like the effect of adding a little bit of extra sharpening to express or emphasize your point. (I have done that for a montage I've done in photography class to emphasize spring time by putting extra sharpening on the trees) But, I think you went a little over that limit in this photo and next time if you sharpen the image a little less if it wasn't for any particular effect, I believe would improve your photo quite a bit!

Other than that one thing your photo is amazing!!! I think it is very interesting how you have the cat on a leash! And I know how hard animal photography can be (trust me I've done it too) and you have done a very good job!

Keep on taking photos, LeaHenning!~
